MMRRC Organization

Functioning as a single repository resource, the MMRRC is comprised of three regional repository facilities and an information coordinating center. They are:

• University of California at Davis
• University of Missouri / Harlan
• University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
• Informatics, Coordination and Service Center (ICSC)

The MMRRC's Coordinating Committee consists of the four grantee PIs and an NCRR program officer; it determines policy and direction for the repository, and decides submission acceptance and repository assignments. The Coordinating Committee utilizes an Advisory Panel of outside experts for additional input on the specific merits of candidate strains.

A Steering Committee, consisting of addtional external researchers who meet biannually, reviews and oversees the MMRRC's progress and advises the Coordinating Committee on the needs of the research community and the MMRRC's longer term goals.
