Strain Development

The ACB001 embryonic stem cell line was established using day 3.5 blastocysts from a cross between a hemizygous B6.Cg-Zbtb20Tg(PDGFB-APPSwInd)20Lms/Mmjax female (MMRRC:34836) and a C57BL/6-congenic male homozygous for Mapttm1(EGFP)Klt. This clone (ACB001) is one of two wild-type controls (see also MMRRC:37555) for a line carrying both alleles. The ACB001 line is heterozygous for Mapttm1(EGFP)Klt; it does not carry the Tg(PDGFB-APPSwInd)20Lms transgene.

These cell lines have been proven useful in in-vitro experiments directed towards the differentiation of ESCs to cortical neurons. Cell lines were derived and maintained on mitomycin-C treated mouse embryonic fibroblast feeder cells (MEFs) derived from C57BL/6J embryos.

Colony and Husbandry Information

ES cells are expanded upon request and are usually ready for shipment in 3-5 weeks.

Requested cell lines are tested by PCR analysis for mycoplasma spp. and Murine Parvoviruses (MPV) upon completion of expansion and prior to shipment.

Mice derived from requested cell lines via Microinjection services will be pathogen tested prior to delivery of mice and health reports will be provided. If you require additional health status information prior to requesting microinjection please email csmmrrc@jax.org.

Order Request Information

Distribution of this strain requires submission of the MMRRC Conditions of Use (COU). A link to the COU web form will be provided via email after an order has been placed; the form should be completed then or the email forwarded to your institutional official for completion.

Additional charges may apply for any special requests. Shipping costs are in addition to the basic distribution/resuscitation fees. Information on shipping costs and any additional charges will be provided by the supplying MMRRC facility.
