Standard Use Restrictions

The following summarizes the use terms from the MMRRC MTA.

  1. The material provided by the MMRRC is the property of the Donating Investigator or their institution and is made available through the MMRRC as a service to the research community.
  2. The material is not for use in human subjects, including for purposes of diagnostic testing.
  3. You agree to restrict use of MMRRC strains or products to internal, non-commercial research purposes. Prior to any commercial use of strains, the recipient must obtain appropriate consent for such use.
  4. You agree not to breed for sale any MMRRC strain, or to distribute or transfer any MMRRC strain or products to any third party outside your institution. You will refer other interested parties to the MMRRC.
  5. You agree to acknowledge the Donor and the MMRRC in any publication or presentation reporting on research involving an MMRRC strain.
  6. You understand that the materials are experimental in nature and may have hazardous properties. There are no express or implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, or that the use of the material will not infringe any patent, copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights. You assume all liability for claims of damages for your use, storage or disposal of the material.
  7. You agree to use strains or stocks obtained from the MMRRC under the supervision of an appropriate oversight body and in accordance with applicable animal care and use statutes and regulations.
