IMPC The International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium
International Mouse Strain Resource (IMSR) An international composit listing of the holdings of various repositories and holders of mutant strains.
Mouse Repositories
American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) Acquires, authenticates, preserves, develops, and distributes biological materials, information, technology, intellectual property, and standards for the advancement, validation, and application of scientific knowledge.
Canadian Mutant Mouse Repository (CMMR) Canada's central repository for cryopreserved ES cells, spermatozoa, ova, embryos, and tissue DNA generated by Canada's mouse genome effort.
Center for Animal Resources and Development (CARD) Center for Animal Resources and Development resource center at Kumamoto University.
European Mouse Mutant Archive (EMMA) The EMMA website provides access to information about the member repositories, their submission process and forms, listing of available strains and their request process.
Japan Mouse Strain Resources (JMSR) Japan's multi-repository listing, including several participating resources.
JAXMice The Jackson Laboratory's JAXMice Resource.
Mouse Models of Human Cancers Consortium (MMHCC) NCI's cancer model repository and related website.
NIH Knockout Mouse Project (KOMP) The Repository of mouse ES cell lines, strains and vectors generated by the trans-NIH KOMP initiative that aims to generate a public resource comprised of mouse embryonic stem (ES) cells containing a null mutation in every gene in the mouse genome.
RIKEN BioResource Center Mouse (Rat and others) Repository

RIKEN Bioresource Center BACs RIKEN BioResource Center DNA Bank
Mouse Universal Genotyping Arrays (MUGA) A series of SNP genotyping arrays for the house mouse (Mus musculus) on the Illumina Infinium platform. Their content is optimized for genetic mapping in the Collaborative Cross and Diveristy Outbred populations; for discriminating haplotypes from common laboratory strains and substrains; and for evaluating the ancestry of wild-caught mice. The MUGA arrays were designed by investigators at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, manufactured by Illumina and distributed on a service basis by Neogen Inc.
Collaborative Cross A reference mouse population for mapping multigenic traits that are free of population structure. These lines are generated by randomizing the genetic diversity of existing inbred mouse resources.
Monarch Initiative An initiative to integrate biological information using semantics, and present it in a novel way, leveraging phenotypes to bridge the knowledge gap
RRID Portal The Resource Identification Portal was created in support of the NIH sponsored Resource Identification Initiative, which aims to promote research resource identification, discovery, and reuse.
