Tg(Gt(ROSA)26Sor-Gak*)1Legr
Name: transgene insertion 1, Lois Greene
Synonyms: GAK-C62, C62
Type: Transgene
Species: Mus musculus (mouse)
Chromosome:
Alteration at locus: Transgenic
Genetic Alterations
In addition to full-length GAK, this mouse expresses a C-terminal GAK fragment consisting of the clathrin-binding and the J-domains of GAK.
Genotype Determination
Phenotype

Homozygous: No phenotype provided that the endogenous GAK protein is expressed.

Hemizygous: No observed phenotype.

Strain Development
The GAK-C62 fragment was expressed from the ROSA 26 promoter. The fragment was cloned into the AgeI and EcoRI restriction sites that are present in the multiple-cloning site of the pBroad3 vector. The vector was linearized using the PacI restriction enzyme and then purified by using gel extraction. The vector was then injected into fertilized C57BL/6 mouse eggs, followed by their implantation into pseudopregnant recipient mice.

MMRRC Genetic QC Summary
The MMRRC Centers have developed a genetic QC pipeline using MiniMUGA array genotyping to provide additional information on strain backgrounds for MMRRC congenic and inbred strains. For more information on when data may be available, or to request genotyping for a strain of interest, please contact mmrrc@missouri.edu. Older strains may not have this information.
