Strain Name:
Izon ES cell line Tal1 clone 44-VII
Stock Number:
010622-UCD
Citation ID:
RRID:MMRRC_010622-UCD

Gene Information

Tal1
Name: T cell acute lymphocytic leukemia 1
Synonyms: SCL/tal-1, Scl, bHLHa17, Hpt
Type: Gene
Species: Mouse
Chromosome: 4
NCBI: 21349
Homologene: 2400
H19
Name: H19, imprinted maternally expressed transcript
Type: Gene
Species: Mus musculus (mouse)

Genetic Alterations
The 3' stem cell enhancer was deleted from the altered locus by gene targeting; a 2.5kb region containing both the +18 and +19 elements was replaced by a loxed hygromycin cassette to generate SCL +/Hdelta19

Colony and Husbandry Information

Requested cell lines are tested by PCR analysis for mycoplasma spp. and Murine Parvoviruses (MPV) upon completion of expansion and prior to shipment.

Mice derived from requested cell lines via Microinjection services will be pathogen tested prior to delivery of mice and health reports will be provided. If you require additional health status information prior to requesting microinjection please email mmrrc@ucdavis.edu.

Order Request Information

Cryo-preserved ES cell line material can usually be shipped in 2 to 4 weeks. Resequencing adds an additional 4 to 6 weeks (but is recommended to confirm that the material has not been contaminated or otherwise incorrectly identified). The microinjection services add an additional 10 to 12 weeks and can vary from cell line to cell line.

Distribution of this strain requires submission of the MMRRC Conditions of Use (COU). A link to the COU web form will be provided via email after an order has been placed; the form should be completed then or the email forwarded to your institutional official for completion.

Additional charges may apply for any special requests. Shipping costs are in addition to the basic distribution/resuscitation fees. Information on shipping costs and any additional charges will be provided by the supplying MMRRC facility.
