Genetic Alterations
The Galnt12 gene consists of 10 exons. A FRT-flanked selection vector containing a neomycin resistance gene and a single 5' loxP site was used in the construction of this mutant. The selection vector was inserted upstream of exon 3 of the targeted gene, and a second loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 3 via homologous recombination. The targeting construct was electroporated into Bruce4 embryonic stem (ES) cells.

ES Cell Sex and Genotype: These ES Cells are expected to be male (XY) and heterozygous/hemizygous for the mutation.

Mice recovered from a cryo-archive will have health surveillance performed on the resuscitated animals.

Availability Level

Cryo-preserved ES cell line material can usually be shipped in 2 to 4 weeks. Resequencing adds an additional 4 to 6 weeks (but is recommended to confirm that the material has not been contaminated or otherwise incorrectly identified). The microinjection services add an additional 10 to 12 weeks and can vary from cell line to cell line.

The donor or their institution limits the distribution to non-profit institutions only.
