Secure Distribution Requests

To assure privacy while requesting strains from the MMRRC, we employ Seccure HTTP (HTTPS) protocol for our Distribution Request Form. The HTTPS protocol requires SSL 2.0 compatibility.

If your browser cannot access our Request Form you may need to modify your browser's security configuration settings for SSL to support at least SSL 2.0.

If you are using Microsoft's Internet Explorer (versions 6 and 7), follow these steps to enable SSL support:

  1. Click "Tools" on the main menu bar
  2. Click "Internet Options" on the Tools pull-down menu.
  3. Click on the "Advanced" tab in the Internet Options dialog window.
  4. Scroll down to the Security section in the list of Settings.
  5. Check the SSL 2.0 or SSL 3.0 boxes (minimum of SSL 2.0 required).
  6. Click the OK button on the Internet Options dialog window.

If you are using Firefox, Netscape or other Mozilla-derived browser, follow these steps to enable SSL support:

  2. Click "Options" on the Tools pull-down menu.
  3. Click on the "Advanced" icon in the Options dialog window.
