    These mice are indistinguishable from wild-type littermates in a cage but have autonomic cardiac and intestinal dysfunction. When combined with a b2 nAChR null mutant mouse, they develop megacystis, microcolon and hypoperistalsis.

    Congenic mice with _4 subunit deficiency (_4_/_) were backcrossed eight generations onto C57BL/6J background and wild-type (WT) control mice.

    A sample from this MMRRC strain was analyzed using the Mouse Universal Genotyping Array (MUGA) and MMRRC computational tools were used to assess the genetic background. A summary of the data can be found here.

The litter will contain at minimum one mutant carrier; the actual number of animals and the gender and genotype ratios will vary.
