To generate this line, Gpr161+/vl Modvl4C/M x Gpr161+/vl Modvl4C/C mating was performed (using JAX Strain #000316). Progeny were genotyped for the 14 SSLP markers within the Modvl4 region (see below) as well as for the Gpr161vl mutation. Gpr161+/+ or Gpr161+/vl animals with at least one recombination breakpoint within Modvl4MOLF/EiJ were used as founders to generate subcongenic lines. Fourteen SSLP MIT markers that were evenly distributed within the Modvl4 55-Mb interval (from proximal to distal: D15MIT51, D15MIT81, D15MIT130, D15MIT252, D15MIT267, D15MIT94, D15MIT204, D15MIT49, D15MIT24, D15MIT86, D15MIT59, D15MIT195, D15MIT27, and D15MIT257) were used for genotyping.

Limited quantities of breeder mice (recovered litter) are available from a cryoarchive; recovered litter usually available to ship in 3 to 4 months.
Cryopreserved material may be available upon request, please inquire to mmrrc@ucdavis.edu for more information.
Distribution of this strain requires submission of the MMRRC Conditions of Use (COU). A link to the COU web form will be provided via email after an order has been placed; the form should be completed then or the email forwarded to your institutional official for completion.
